I just thought this scan was interesting. Probably the sun-in-glory design drew me in. Also, the lack of characters. I've been getting a kick from walls with very small (or in this case non-existant) character art lately. Anyway, instead of being a white-on-white stone relief I was going to make it more of a stained glass type of image, but after some wacky experimentation, it ended up like this. More of an gilded illuminated manuscript, partially due to overusage of texturing, and partially because I thought the light-colored outlines gave it a rather different feel than the normal dark outlines.
One of my rare text-free walls, because the text just didn't feel like it would mesh well enough.
Finally, while it is a good idea to pull out one's manga to get references for coloring in each of the planets, it is not a good idea to start flipping through the manga, especially as the manga itself is presented in black-and-white and in no way helps you realize that Autozam is green and Chizeda is red, and instead makes you loose several hours as you reread half of the story.
